Overview
"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion." - CCC 1422
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated along with the Sacrament of Holy Communion for children in second grade and above. For children who are not attending Catholic School, enrollment in a full-time faith formation program is required for a minimum of one year prior to and the year of the sacramental preparation. This creates a foundation of the faith upon which the child can go deeper during sacramental preparation.
