Christ The King Catholic Church Prayer Request

Use this page to view some inspirational information and ask the Christ The King Parish to remember you in our daily prayers. These prayers are remembered daily in conjunction with the Liturgy of the Hours according to the Roman Rite, which is said daily, and at all of the Masses we celebrate. You are encouraged to make offering daily prayers, morning, evening and night, an active part of your life. Visit the Liturgy of the Hours and look over these web sites. You DO NOT have to be a Catholic to say the daily prayers provided. Start YOUR day off with organized prayer, lifting your hearts, raising your voice, minds and soul to God. Your day will be so much better and brighter!

If you have a prayer request, click on the prayer hands below and send an email directly to the Pastor. Our Community will remember your request!.

Lord, listen to my prayer:
turn your ear to my appeal.

  • You are faithful, you are just; give answer.
    Do not call your servant to judgment
    for no one is just in your sight.
    The enemy pursues my soul,
    he has crushed my life to the ground;
    he has made me dwell in darkness
    like the dead, long forgotten.
    Therefore my spirit fails;
    my heart is numb within me.

    I remember the days that are past:
    I ponder all your works.
    I muse on what your hand has wrought
    and to you I stretch out my hands.

    Like a parched land my soul thirsts for you.

    Lord, make haste and answer;
    for my spirit fails within me.
    Do not hide your face
    lest I become like those in the grave.

    In the morning let me know your love
    for I put my trust in you.
    Make me know the way I should walk:
    to you I lift up my soul.

    Rescue me, Lord, from my enemies;
    I have fled to you for refuge.
    Teach me to do your will
    for you, O Lord, are my God.
    Let your good spirit guide me
    in ways that are level and smooth.

    For your name's sake, Lord, save my life;
    in your justice save my soul from distress.

    Psalm 143

    As Christians we believe in miracle's and prayer. It is the legacy handed on to us by the Lord Jesus. Remember that once Jesus had trained his disciples he sent them out in pairs to cure the sick and drive out demons (Lk 9:1-6). They, like the Lord, became miracle workers. Jesus worked his miracles "out of compassion" (Lk 7:13). Jesus wanted to show us that our God was a personal God, and genuinely kind and loving.

    The first step to asking for a miracle is to believe deeply in the power of Jesus. Jesus always demanded that an initial faith be present before he performed a miracle (Mt 21:22). The miracle would then deepen, strengthen, and stablize this faith. The second step is to be tireless in your asking. St. Luke's section on prayer in chapter 11 (1-13) promises success for those who keep knocking on God's door. The final step is to accept whatever the Lord gives. Perhaps the Lord has greater plans for you than you might know or fathom.

    The Lord's greatest miracle for us is the Eucharist. Here would be the proper place to lay your request before the Lord!

    For further information on prayers/miracles go to the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verses 7-11.

    SOME SCRIPTURE TO READ IN TIME OF NEED:

    We also recommend that you seriously consider saying The Rosary daily; especially for those who have asked for our prayers. Something to consider: Think of 'The Rosary' as the 'Gospels'; any version?' What better way than to ask for the intercession of The Lord's Mother. Afterall think about the Wedding at Cana!
